ok i did some cutting and shutting last night and made the vn rack bolt upto the vk rack,, works a charm.

what would be easier for me,, i have just put a vk frame into a vn and the vk steering rack is too tall, what would you do, cut the brackets off and weld the vn rack on the new frame or change the steering colunm from the vk into the vn the suit the rack???

yeah i got the plates of ebay, this fella sells the ecotec, 253/308 & 304. they seem to be pretty good i got a set of each as i have each engine at home ready projects. yes i know the manifold is pretty yucky i spent all last night with a grinder and die grinder cleaning all the insides out...

the wastegate is set to 8psi so thats as high as it will go, but obviously it will spike at certain points of accerleration, as for the dump going from 2.5 down to under 2" at the bend i think thats a bit far fetched these are long bends not tight pressed, so it should be sweet.

it's a 2.5" dump with 2 90deg bends, it should be fine thats the size of the dump outlet on the turbo. so i'm guessing thats wat size is needed at the minimum? once all my welds are cleaned up and all is finished i'll heat wrapping the whole lot.
