Tried jumping it, engine just turns over very slow, changed plugs and leads too. If it was the coil that was the cause, would it even try to turn?

Sounds like the starter try's to turn, then jams and if i still hold the key on it sounds like a rattle gun ??? Does that look like it's a jammed flywheel ? Thanks for your help
Also, I tried turning the engine over by hand but only had a short spanner as I couldn't find the right socket, so it wouldn't budge clockwise or anti, how easy is it to turn by hand ? And yep, the serp belts off :)

Yep both connections are tight on the starter, replaced eng management fuse and now the starter just clicks consistently, I'm waiting on the mrs to get home to give me a jump, fingers crossed it's that near dead battery clicking.
Yeah I've got a few batteries and tried jumping it. The 1st starter was throwing sparks at the connections. I've tried tapping and changed starter relay. Still just 1click when I try to crank....
Mine is the sounding the same after replacing the starter, the old one was throwing sparks from the connections on the back ??? Fresh battery plus jump start and still just a clunk
Hi I have replaced the starter on my vt after the old starter was not turning just making a clunk noise & throwing sparks at the connections when trying to start, now the new starter is on it just makes a clunk noise, I've tried a new battery but no success. Any help greatly appreciated
I realised the immobiliser light wasn't turning off whilst on accessories & when firing. Took a potshot at a new key and it fired first pop. Thank farrrrk.
Realised the F***ing immobiliser light was still flashing even when cranking, so narrowed it down to bcm or key and thank fk it was just another key. I put new coil, plugs, leads and injectors + purge thing and cleaned all air and fuel lines all for nothing... Happy it's running :)
I have a v6 vx and it wouldn't start last night, but did early today for a few hours. It's getting fuel to the injector rails, I've swapped the dfi and coils and checked fuses and can't find a solution. I can get it to run for about 10 seconds if I tip a bit of unleaded in the throttle body but...
Hi does any1 know the best way to go about cleaning the maf sensor on a Vs Ecotec, and any other sensors I should check/clean? I'm thinking just give it a spray with crc but??????
Just done the injectors, drove it for about 20 min and opened it up a few times, then fired up nice On start :) but I'm keen on cleaning the MAF sensor but how should I go about it, just spray it with contact cleaner or what ??? cheers 4 the help
I bought it on the weekend done the oil , filter, plugs thermostat n coolant. It feels like firing up a carby eng, after a few revs she idles nicely ???
Hi I just bought a 97 Vs exec and when I fire it up it sounds rough as farrk, also I have to give the accelerator a pump(carby like) but after warm up shes all good ! Any ideas on what it could be, maybe a air sensor or something?? Any help would b great
Has anyone had any major problems with Alloytec's ? I bought mine at 60,000k (VE 06 Omega)& its just under 180,000 and seems as good as when i bought it ?
Would it be Legal to run a straight through pipe (diff back) or if not do u or does anyone know of a decent muffler to suit the 6 that i could get made up ?

If you dont have the keys you will have to replace them anyway ! I would either dent pull the ignition barrel out and use a flathead to turn the steering lock over. thenn either push the car or charge the battery and leave the ignition switch on (red dash lights) for an hour, as said before...
