BA's are definietly not slower than AU's. My BA XR6(when it just had a K&n and XR6T snorkel) would pull 7 flat on g-tech. Now i have put a ballistic cat and a 2.5" sport system, so hopefully it should crack into high 6's...feels quicker than before especially after 2500rpm. I have no problem...

dads mate has a VS 5L in his 80 series, sounds awesome and goes alot better the earlyier 80 series with the old 4.2 Petrol, but my dads 4.5L manual munches him... in a hilux, id go a v8 or a ford 4L 6...If the BA 4L can power a 2000kg territory im sure it would power a hilux very nicely....

For The XR I got the new falken ones with the silca compound(dont know the model) for 140 each from tyre place near me...grip is fantastic, rubber is soft so they wear quicker and smoke up very nice and white, very impressed with the grip though especialy in the wet. AU Engine is different...for starters its only single cam and has about 20-30kw difference... AU's are slow anyway, my XR6 will beat the 220kw AU XR8...so your VN should beat AU 6's easily. I have beaten Vn V6's ...they launch off the line quick but once i get rolling i pass them no...

above is correct...stock R33 GTS-T's arent that quick...stock 0-100 is 6.96 seconds...a VN V6 with breathing mods and right tune could beat that...it would even be close between my XR6, which pulls 7 sec flat 0-100 with XR6T intake and K&N...

When i had my VS calais, i got a 2.5 inch cat back put on with a straight through middle muffler and a hot dog and the thing sounds awesome, its very deep and not loud either. At idle it sounds like a V8(had ppl ask if it was an 8 even with the ecotec badges lol) until you hit 2500 then it opens...

My VP did the same thing before i got rid of it the torque convertor wouldnt lock (overdrive) so the revs would sit a lil higher when warm...when cold all is good...dont think getting a tranny cooler will make a difference, i geuss the trans is on its way out.

The way i see it, fords are better in the 6's dept, but cant match holden in the V8 dept...BOSS is no match for LS1/LS2...i bought my BA because it had everything i wanted and handles alot better than the holden equivalent IMO...still think sometimes how i should have bought that VX calais...

VT SS 5L has 185 or 195kw from memory, the 165kw was back in the VS 5L with the VS clubbys running 185kw stock or GTS running 215kw in the stroked 5.7L, although my VS calais eco beat a VTSS 5L... as with the AU v8's the above is correct , the AU XR8's dont go that good tho...i know a few ppl...

na mate, the MPS is a 2.3L 4 cyl Turbo (190kw & 380nm...the same as a BF falcon!!)and the focus is a 2.5L V5 Turbo(160kw & 320nm) the MPS owns the Focus by about a second 0-100

lol well my old fuel pump did that clunk, but one day it wouldnt turn on and i had to kick thetank to get it to start pumping, guy walking past at that moment said "thats it mate a good kick up the ass always helps" lol

re the air temp sensor, if your keen on running a POD, you can get the pod adaptor that has a cutout in the side perfect fit for the air temp sonsor...much neater then cutting a whole in the tubing. It cost around 15 buks from super cheap/repco and holds the pod in a good position too.

had the same prob in my bros vs...changed the rear lights to new ones(clear ones) and it doesnt leak anymore. Too late tho as the spare wheel well is full of rust now.

if ur starting issue isnt fixed i'd be looking at the fuel pump, when i bought my vs calais a couple yrs ago it used to take longer than expected to start and if i held it on the on position for 3 secs like u it would start almost instantly...i replaced the fuel pump and what a difference, also...
