    Aftermarket crewman fuel tank

No idea where to get one, never knew they made them. What's the difference between this and a stock one? Does it fix any gauge issues?

    Power steering lines

Hey guys. While servicing the crewman I noticed the power steering cooler lines look a bit worn out. Curious if anyone knows the sizes of these hoses or do I need to go genuine parts. Seem pretty pricey for a few hoses...

    Short shifter options

That's interesting, I've always liked MACE, but that looks exactly the same as the cheap ones. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/T56-Short-shifter-For-Holden-Commodore-HSV-6-speed-V8-VT-VU-VX-VY-VZ-quick-shift-/163828990882?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286

    Short shifter options

Hey guys. Just picked up a Crewman SS manual. She's got a f ew KMs but I'm over the moon about it. As always the bug has bit to start doing things to it. Back in the day I had a VX S manual and fitted a billet (I think) short shifter to it. It made a massive difference. So I'm wondering what's...

cracked air conditiober pipe connected to front radiator

Gas shouldnt be lethal. Dont directly breath it or anything. I get a bit of spray when purging lines at work. Pipe should be available as a spare part. Gas will cost a bit though. Cheers, Stretch.

Put new velcro under my dash mat, as the passenger side never stuck down properly. Used 5 old dewalt batteries as weights to help it stick haha.

    Sticky odometer...rustling my jimmies.

Sounds like this could be the issue, maybe the main cog wasn't the only one slipping, so it only half fixed the problem when i replaced it.

    Sticky odometer...rustling my jimmies.

For a little while now my VLs odometer has decided that it works when it wants, the speedo reads the speed correctly. Not long ago i put a new main cog in the cluster, but shortly after if started stopping again. When i put slight pressure on the reset stalk it starts winding over again, but...

    Summernats Tuff Street

Summernats is great fun from a spectators point of view, as long as you arent too politically correct and can handle the odd set of boobs and foul language. Yeah I've just angled mine down this morning, if you go low enough you can really reduce the glare, but in saying that, unless you have projectors they are technically illegal, so someones always going to whinge about them haha.

    Dishwasher as Parts Washer....

Very nice, in regard to the HID question at the beginning, I have HIDs in my VL and they work really well, nothing has melted anyway. I get flashed on and off, so i think with some adjustment down they will be fine.

    Auto trans specialists around Mackay?

G'day guys, just doing some research for my parents who are currently caravanning through QLD. Their Adventra has started to overflow fluid and they've been informed its a bush and has something to do with 3rd gear (second had info from a local trans place). The car still travels ok at the...

    Rear venetians

Slip in the gap between the parcel shelf and window at the bottom, then the top has a couple of slide up clips that you tighten in place with a screw. Pretty non invasive and nothing gets cut or drilled or anything. To do a good job you will need 1 or 2 extra hands to put them up.

    Do HID's work in VL's?

i've used them before, it was just in a suzuki vitara they have pretty thick glass lens, so i wasnt worried about distortion or anything, i just remember the driving lights being really hot. in response to axemurderer, its a way for them to make an easy buck, every h4 or h4-3 kit is the same...

    Do HID's work in VL's?

G'day guys, i've been wanting to brighten up the front end of my vl and was wondering if anyone is running HID's and if they run too hot for the light housing? Just worried the plasticky body might not like the heat. Thanks, jason

Seatbelt flapping in my VL. Boot leaking water in my VL. When people get out of the car and leave the seatbelt twisted a bit. How hard it is to adjust venetians on your own. (Ok so the flapping seatbelt doesnt upset me much, it's actually kinda cute).

    Ask the Speedometer repair guy..........

Bit of a thread dig, but it's relevant. My VL's odo and trip conked out the other day, i read in here that you can repair the cog to better than new, as they dont sell them anymore. looking through ebay, i found these VDO replacements and thought i would ask, should i try and repair, or just...

    Fitting 18inch (or bigger) wheels.

I just measured from the ground up to the strut stone guard...looks extremely slim, but on the other had i can't remember the tyre specs off the top of my head. I'm going to trial fit one day, but then i've seen some decent 18's and wouldnt mind being able to fit them too.

    Fitting 18inch (or bigger) wheels.

G'day, I've got a fairly standard VL that i want to replace the suspension in and fit some nicer wheels. I've measured some VY calais 17" wheels that i've got and they wont fit under the strut/stone guard part. If i was to lower the car, does the new suspension accommodate for the larger size...

    Man shoots at hoons

I'm not too fussed about the hoon getting hit, more worried about if the old bloke missed...where would the bullet have ended up? His neighbor taking out the wheelie bin? The guy across the road's loungeroom window? Not alot of thought went into his attack.
