Hi Guys, Sorry I cant be of much help, I sold my VZ Calais. I remember ordering the spare part through genuine spares then fitted cheaper at kmart auto. I cant remember costs. They did not need to change the paddle shifters, I just changed both left and right wheel buttons. cheers

Hi Forg- I had no issue or pre-warning whatsoever. Just imagine driving at speed then needing to use the steering wheel and it just shutting off with only being able to turn it with brute force. Those with less strength could end up in a pretty bad situation.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice. The only damage they are currently repairing is some alloy which scraped the kerb so I really doubt such a light scrape caused that sort of damage. Ill email Holden Support now. appreciate it!

Hi, sorry for the late reply as I havnt returned to the site for sometime and I wasn't monitoring this thread any longer. I believe removing the battery helped. Im not 100% if that's what fixed mine. Last holden service did resolve it and I know the battery was removed at the time. I did not ask...

Thanks for your reply. I contacted Holden and they confirmed the VF has no antenna in the rear screen. They said a metal tint may affect remote range only. My antenna is terrible across most stations with better reception with my VZ Ive got service to look into it.
