The dings and other repairs need to be factored into the paint it cost. Preparing can be expensive keep in mind then painting. I would think all of about 8 or so for a reasonable job.

Have you had it to a proper automatic transmission shop lately? If not make an appointment. They need doing every 100,000 kilometres or less.

It’s time you got it to a transmission shop then for a rebuild or a change over box. If you are a spanner man then you may wish to do it yourself. Your symptoms are that the box is way past it’s time.

It needs the gearbox out, and a good replace gearbox or the same type installed. Too easy.

Like it or not OP, it’s a proper workshop job after you have it towed to the workshop. DO NOT drive that car or it will be a new or good used transmission.

You would be very very brave to take that on for free even if you are a mechanic of note.

Take it back to where you had it regassed. I hope it was gassed at a proper aircon shop where it would have been checked first before wasting your money regassung it.

Gap them. They can come out or the box incorrectly gapped.
