Check the vacuum hose that goes from the regulator to the solenoid/solenoid to mixer. Mine was leaking, and I had surging, poor economy, high idle, stalling.

Only works on older mechanical odos. Electronic ones will actually go forward, even with the car in reverse!! So all you will achieve is a HIGHER km reading!

We had a similar stalling problem with our VX II converted to LPG. Also had the high idle. Had the problem since the day it was converted. I thought it was a loose electrical connection, either where the LPG loom connects to the car loom (drivers side firewall) or the cutoff solenoid. Juggling...

Adding a tank protector would also lower the car more - and you would find your bottom scraping more often!! An alternative would be to relocate the tank into the boot (don't know if that is legal!).
