Thanks heaps for the replies, and sorry for the confusion, what I meant to say is they closed the bonnet on the rpm pick up unit, which damaged either the output plug or the pcb, if you hold the plug just right it will pick up, but unreliable .. The oil is magnatech, and will get changed...

Here is my '07 Calais V on the dyno. The motor had 100k km on it when it lost a roller off a lifter and turned my oil into Black metal flake paint!!!. Motor was pulled, thoroughly cleaned, checked, measured, honed new rings, ARP head bolts, VCM cam, Hi Vol oil pump, GTS headers, diff back...

so to update on the ol girl, lifters were stuffed, and the cam was toaste, so put a bigger cam it, cold air, dyno tune, and diff back mufflers. 390hp at the wheels, which i didnt think was bad from a motor with 100k km on it... way more fun, and sounds great=) just thought i would let peeps...
