changed the barrel and key had to take the electric component out of the key and swap so it would start if you dont change the electric component in the key it will give you all the lights on dash but wont fire due to the electric component in the key.:beer chug:

check computer see what codes come up. on dash. plug is under the steering wheel there is a black plug and there is two pins in the middle on the top use a paper clip open it right up and bridge with those two pins you will get code 12 first three times then another code should pop up after that...
or try taking off the oil cap and listen you will know if it is the lifters also check to see if there is oil in it stupid i know but it can happen lol.
if you buy the v8 she cant drive the 8 when she is on p plates its a $280 fine if cought and if caught 3 times car gets impounded i wouldnt want that to happen to a great car though good luck the 6 is fine L plates or P plates.
heater hose looks to long as it comes out of where the thermostat is you can cut the hoses to make them shorter so it doesnt kink in the middle its so easy to fix undo the clamps from the hose at both ends take it in to supercheap auto or auto barn or something like that and they will lead you...
