We all have favs, but for me it would be a WRX, or a 2004-2007 Forester XT. Some tidy turbos around, comfortable, plenty of grunt, and hot up bits. Already a bit of a cult car.

I had the same problem at work the other day. My boss fixed it, as I am a basic computer user. In saying that, I have updated to 10 at home, and its very similar to 7. I had 8.1 on this desk top when I bought it, and I couldnt master that at all. Go with the 10, its not that much different.

The 4x4 forums seem to still be busy. I get on a couple, and they always have something on the go. But, facebook has taken over a bit as far as organizing cruises etc. Other car forums I get onto are falling, one struggles to get a post once a month on the SA section. Peoples choice of cars...

I got my license in 1969, 1st car in 1970, petrol was 25cents a gallon. As a 1st year apprentice, I was on $10 a week. New Holden was around $2,500. Could go to Adelaide(450ks) on $8 worth of petrol. 20cents worth of fish and chips, couldnt eat them, too much. Miss them days in some ways.:cry:

I see it as, I grew up with Holdens, not Commodores. I have had a few Commodores, but the true Holdens will be the cars that I will remember, not so much the Commodores. Chrome bumpers forever:rockon:

A mate of mine, who is a one eyed Ford nut, just bought a very tidy 380 Mitso, and says its one of the best cars he has had, and he has had a few. I like my Pajeros.

Mitsubishi cars and 4x4s are, and have been for a long time, very underrated vehicles. Yes they have their problems(what doesnt) You should enjoy it a lot.

You dont just knock a car up in the back yard, HSV will turn there talents to something else(converting Dodge Rams is on the table) to survive. People have gotta understand that Holden, Falcon will be a thing of the past. They will never come back. Learn to live with the Asian/Euro offerings...

In this day and age, a Camry will do everything legally. . I would get the E3. But then, I wouldnt sell the Pajero.

I would be a bit worried about turd and his towel, and gumboots:hmmm: :rofl2: I have work gear(high vis, torch, hat), panadol, tic tacs, spare pens, sunnies, phone charger. Getting other bits sorted, havent had vehicle for long, fitting up 2nd battery for fridge ATM.

I agree with Jarp, its not fixing the roads, its only spray gravel over the already crappy surface. Total waste of time and money IMHO. Now roadworks are a different thing.

You might not like to hear it, but some of that Asian "garbage" is actually far better than the quality Holden have been putting out. Get your head out of the sand, and have a better look at the options.

Dont know about NSW, but in SA, club rego gives you 90 days, log book as well. Car must be stock over here. If its a fine weather car, you will be struggling to do 60 days. Bloke I work with has a Mustang on club, and the most he evr did was about 60 days, and that was way more than he...
