hi everyone,
recently purchased a 2010 sv6 s1 with reverse sensors. I have fitted a genuine towbar with genuine complete harness (all second hand), the socket that came with it was damaged so I fitted a brand new genuine VY socket and harness which has the flap trigger built in (already had...
It will and you don't have to upgrade your bcm. I put one in my vy s1. Check what colour plug is on the back first, grey s1, blue s2. If you put a s2 cluster into a s1 car your fuel gauge will work back to front and you the digital display won't show milage properly (a s2 fuel sender is required...
I put a caprice instrumentation in mine, just make sure it has a grey plug on the back. everything can be programmed by your holden. If the milage is over 100,000k's, places like namiis(www.namiis.com.au) can reprogramme the mileage for about $130.
if i remember correctly you push button 1- 6 times, button 2- 8 times and so-on. if there is an AS button on it push and hold that first and a small 1 should appear on the display before entering the code. it has been a few years since i had to do it. good luck.
try vdo dayton, i think this is what holden uses when they fit them. you'll be up for a bit of cash though, around 3 grand. cheaper option is to go portable like the navman.
if you have the nokia advanced hands free with bluetooth or the earlier model which suits the 6230,7210 and similar, the cradle could be the problem. unplug the data cable from the base of the cradle and plug it into your phone, see if it works then.
thanks for the update ratty, just purchased a vy v6 about 3 weeks ago and the only problem i've found so far has been heavy steering, especially at high speed. my previous ride was a vr and the steering was a lot lighter.
recently the fuel pump packed it in, i replaced this and then checked the pressure, it's down 100 kpa plus. i replaced the regulator to no avail. just wondering on any suggestions as to why the fuel pressure is so low. there are no leaks anywhere.
forget about suppressors,as long as you have quality rca leads, power cable running down drivers side, rca and remote down passenger side, there shouldn't be a problem. also it could come back to your amp, some brands are shocking for it.
the best thing to do is remove the parcel shelf, then remove the factory speaker mounts, remove the factory grills, mark out your holes making sure the 6x9 grill surround just covers the hole left by the original grill, mount the 6x9s onto parcell shelf and refit shelf. depending on what 6x9s...
the best place for a sub in a commodore ute is in the space under the removeable panel in the tray, next to the fuel tank. a box can be made to fit in this area and it sounds great.
once the battery is removed the key must be reprogrammed. another problem i have found with the battery is dirty contact between battery and side contact. this can be alleviated by rotating the battery in place being carefull not to lose actual contact. i have done this myself and it worked.
