hey all...i just had my 160,000kms service and holden are telling me that my engine mounts are saggin n gonna hav to be replaced...they sed it will be $400...just wondering if i am gettin jipped? cheers.

hhaha.....yeh i took it to car audio excellence yesterday and he did a few quick tests...turns out the amps had it...now i gotta remember where i put my receipts so i can take it back...i put my old amp in last night to see if that would work and it did, so its definately the amp.

yeh it does have the protection...the light goes red wen it cuts out...it cuts out whether the volume is up or down...i tried using a diffrent earth point but still cuts out...im gonna go to car audio excellence today n see wat they rkn...any money they will say i shouldnt be usin 4 gauge...

hey ppl i juz rewired my amp with 4 gauge cable and now it cuts out after about 1 min....i was using 12 gauge and it was workin fine and now i bout a 4 gauge amp kit and its cutting out...im using a Fusion Encounter FE-1002 2 channel amp...using the 4 gauge cable wouldnt be to powerful would...

juz go and buy the $20 adaptor from super cheap auto and connect it to the original connection, then all the wires are labelled and you juz match them to the ones from your head deck. 5 min job. then do as wrx884 sed, juz put it in the metal frame holder thing and it will lock in tightly. then...

but the thing is my window was stuck down and i didnt want to hav it stuck down for a few days. i wouldnt of been able to drive it anywhere. and whats $50 anyway.

nah man brand new...couldnt get a used 1...but holden wanted $150.

i ended up havin to go to the wreckers and buy a new 1. $120 that i wish i didnt hav to spend.

the thing is the 2 little metal pin things broke off inside...so the switch doesnt do anything and there are juz the 2 top n 2 bottom little pins. (if you get me)

thers 4 pins...when u touch the tob n bottom left they spark n vice versa...do all 4 hav to be touching at the same time?

yeh when i tried that i was gettin a spark. that was touching the 2 top ones...so i should try the bottom 2 with 1 of the top?

hey i have a VX berlina and the front side driver power window button juz broke off and my window is stuck down...if anyone can tell me how to get it up can they please help...the button went flying so i dont know where the little pieces went.

hey i juz went and got a quote for some king springs. they sed supplied + fitted with a wheel allignment would be $495. since my cars done 140,000 id need new shocks n struts so that would make it $985. then if i needed an IRS kit that would take it to $1500. do u think thats a good price? cheers.

Planning to lower it first. I was going to kit it but i dont think i will. i do want to get rid of the front bar but and put something better on there coz i dont like the berlina front bar. could i do that without having to change the rest of the car to match? what u guys rkn?

yeh i got a set of 18s on mine and u do notice the difference. it was alot smoother when i had the 15s on there but oh well u gotta pay the price to make ya car look good lol. i drove to qld from syd n it was pretty good but so cant really complain.
