yes it sounded like it but it was off the heads one bolt was lose but thats all sorted now for the oil pressure problem....

found the ticking sound it was a lose header bolt. still have low pressure though...

it's not hard to do a swap if you are going to replace the wheel you have to take the air bag off and you should just do it when it's off just unhook you battery 10min before you do anything small blade screwdriver remove the air bag take the wires off and unscrew the phillips head screws change...

hi all i have a noise and ticking sound and low oil pressure reading on my oil senser. it's not sticky valves and the oil pump has been replaced 3 days ago and i don't whats going on has any body else had this problem if so what did you do to fix it?

do the diff oils while your at it and check all the oils for any metal. also rubbers, all lines and hose's and seals can't hurt to be safe

the one near your headers is the temp one. the one you want is the oil one next to the oil filter and yeah there is enough room there for it you might have to jack up the motor and undo the mounts from the k frame to make the room but it works

the sensor is above the oil filter the little silver knob that has one wire coming off it mate i did the same in my car

bought new rego plates and 4L60E box ready to handle over 800kw got 1.8 rocker arms and bolts and new push rods and lifters and thats all now all i need to do is find some meaty turbos for later down the track

hay mate i tryed to change my senator from auto to a t56 but to do this with out a dyno it's just not going to work. so i stuck with the auto and you could try a bcm but if they don't talk then it won't start. thats just my 2cents good luck mate and you will need vcm to reprogram it

it could be the rubber cuppling between the box and shaft might be split or broken thats what is was in mine any way

my old one pumped out 301rwkw on 95 pump and it was an auto. my new one once broken in will be thrown on the dyno to see what she spit's out

got my new block today now for the fun part!!! new heads are on intake is on bottom end all ready to go tb is on injectors are on new springs rockers lifters cam timing chain and msd coils and new lighter flex plate might start taking out the old one next week oh and the auto got a stage 2 shift...

2x1m 8mm dowl will stop the lifters from falling there are 2 holes either side of the cam just spin and put them in not hard and only $4 to do it

nar looks like i'm saving for a few months now motor is back in and car is running again

depends if i can find a new block by tomorrow if i can't then i'm putting the motor back together and putting it back in until i save enough for a whole new motor. i'm looking at new cams so i'm guessing i will be when the time is right

ls ain't all 6 bolt mains they are 2 bolt from what i'm told

they are my run about rims i have other ones at my uncles place which i have to pick up soon and the colour that i'm looking at is triple black with a thin red strip down the side to break up the colour then i want to get a set of new plates for it but not sure on a name as yet

dose anybody know where i can get rear gto bucket seats from????

quick update 383 stroker kit arrived and a very nice bit of kit the intake also came in yesterday getting ready to start pulling the motor down ready to send it off for the stroker and 4 bolt mains and gearbox is being sent to performance racing for some beefing up
