I had the same problem with my handbrake handle, a few spots of super glue and a couple of cable ties to hold it together while the glue cured and I haven't had a problem. Its been about 1 1/2 years since I did this.

It is just the load of the motors, they actually pull the voltage down a fair bit.

jbray, try using a stubby flat blade with a cloth on it, slide it in between the grille and the part where the light sensor is, then just gently pull it up. I pulled mine off today, my Omega didn't have the speaker anyway, was pulling the dash apart for other reasons.

The initial fault sounds like your crank angle sensor is dying, sits in behind the harmonic balance. I believe this is a fairly common fault. Not sure what your step dad may have done though.

Use a flat blade screwdriver with a rag wrapped around it (so you don't damage any trim), slide this between the small piece of trim and the cup holder and gently prise the trim upwards, it is only a clip holding it in.

Make sure you diconnect the negative from the battery before charging. If the car has been sitting for a while, it could be the battery is just run down, they like constant use.

Thanks Ricey, the problem was it was only an intermittent fault with the ESP at the time, took it back to them 3 or 4 times and they couldn't do anything. By the time the ABS fault came into it it was about 1 year out of warranty. Just couldn't be bothered going back to them now.

Just ordered one from mechdon in Wynnum West, figured I'd give it ago. I ran around for a while without any antenna at all and only had problems when I got out of town a bit or behind the hill, but the hill messes up every car I've been around there in!
