Bit of an update. Finally got around to painting the back seat. The original and the modified. Just need to fit the trim and bolt it back in.

Bit more of an update on the rear seat. I've shortened the in fill panel as well now and just need to weld it up. I would've liked to cut 80mm off each end but the centres on those ridges are 70mm so that'll do. This is the under side and the reason why i couldn't just cut and shut it...

Finished the filler work yesterday and put it in primer. Just a comparison on a standard rear seat. I've had some paint mixed in that original brown so that'll be the next job.

Bit more progress.. The welding looks a bit average but there was some big gaps and i hate welding sheet metal. LOL Besides, the trim will cover it.

Thanks mate, means a lot. I think i ended up getting 115mm cut off each end from memory. Just be careful though cos a sedan could be different (assuming you have a sedan). My wheels are 15x8.5's with a 3 3/8" backspace. With the size of my tubs i could've gone a 10" wheel but would've had to...

Thanks. I've done all that, thats why i made the 2nd box. I'm not running an auto console top but the factory manual one. The shifter, box and console have been in and out of the car that many times this weekend its not funny anymore. I did think about the wires but i can't get any more room...

Worst job ever pulling the dash out. I took mine out of my wagon and it was a couple of years before it went back in so i had to try and remember how it all went in. lol All in all its looking good mate. Keep the updates coming.

@gtrboyy, I think those studs are probably the last thing on the list to make my engine bay even tidier. Thats really interesting about the pads though. What car are you talking about that has baby discs and filmed? The studs don't look to bad on my car.

I was wondering about the pads. Do Kingswood fit straight in? I've also been wondering what to do with the vacuum hose for the booster. I've got a 100amp alternator. Can't move anything in the bay now, it's all been painted. The booster and master fit in the same anyway. Thanks for the feed...

I decided since i upgraded the the booster and master cylinder i might as well upgrade the discs and calipers too. I had these slotted rotors given to me a while back so i thought i'd finally use them. The standard VH rotors are 270mm and the slotted rotors are 290mm same as VL V8/turbo upwards...

The trial fit was successful, it hinged forward as normal. Next will be narrowing the infill panel that goes in between the rear floor and seat back.

New versus old. I still need to add a bit of sheet metal to the blue one and weld it up. It'll then b painted like the brown one.

I had a bit more a go at the back seat a couple of days ago. I went with round tubs because i wanted them to look standard, now i want the rear seat to look standard as well. Its been tricky but i think it'll turn out ok. I had to cut the bottom hinges off and reset them because they didn't...

In my case, nothing. The tanks were exactly the same shape. All I had to do was modify the filler neck by shortening it by about 40mm. As far as sedans go I'm not sure. I think it'll b the same theory. I know VN-VS had a difference in straps on the IRS and non IRS cars.

I reckon u need to ditch the hub caps anyway coz they look like VH SL/X ones. Just go with clean stickies with chrome centre caps.

Im now in the middle of modifying the back seat to fit between the tubs. I bought a complete rear seat for $20 so i thought id cut that one up incase i stuffed it up. Seems to b going good so far.

I also decided to run a VS wagon tank because it has a in tank pump. Hopefully its enough to feed the carby. The top tank is the VS one and the bottom one is the original VH.

New manifold and the carbs on. I still have fabricated rocker covers to go on yet but i need to weld some fittings in the front for some catch cans.

Got it in the hole without any dramas.

Next thing i did was give the old 355 a degrease and tidy up

Next job was to tackle the rear shock mounts after the diff was shortened. They were cut off because they were going to hit the back of the drums. I simply cut some off a spare diff i had and cut them up to fit. I test fitted the diff and then took it out again and welded the mounts in place.

I haven't put a photo up of it but I'm running a VS brake booster with VT master cylinder.

The K frame was next to get some attention.

Got the car back from paint and panel around Aug16. All painted now.

Then it was off the panel shop. (The start of 2016). It was there for the first half of the year and now I've got back into it again. Bay all filled and in primer.

I took the dash out and welded up the holes where the A/C pipping came through and then sanded off all the etch primer.

So i lost interest in the car for a bit with working FIFO and everything, that's probably why i hadn't posted anything for a while. I got back into it mid to late 2015 after getting a job back home. So i started getting into the bay again. The engine bay after a few holes were welded up.
