    Thermo Fan Switch

Thanks for the replies...appreciate it. That stuff about the pressure switch is interesting - good to know... ...at least I understand what's goin' on with the fan + air con now. Makes perfect sense. Thanks LOSH - I don't think I'll be fixing the air con any time soon. As no one said it's a...

How to fit thermo fan bypass switch

Makes sense...and it's nice to know what's goin' on with the air con and fan. I thought it was probably somethin' like that. I'm a bit reluctant to test the PCM's ability to turn on the fan... ...as it's ALWAYS been way too late. You can 'smell' the engine starting to cook before it comes on...

    Thermo Fan Switch

Hi All, I was driving over heavy corrugations and the air con 'popped'. (eg: Sudden short hiss - I soon discovered it spat out coolant from the somewhat corroded accumulator thing at the front of the radiator.) Not sure if it's related but a short while after that I noticed that the thermo fan...

Vacuum Control Valve - Leaking - Advice appreciated

Thanks for the advice VTL67Calais. See how I go when I replace it. Incidentally, it didn't leak a drop today when I drove into town...mebbe coz I changed the (in car) heater settings??? Diabolical! Anyway, it drips on to the chassis rail and runs down to the front where there's a drainage...

It might also be known as the HEATER WATER VALVE??? Small silver canister thing...drivers side...has the heater hoses connected to it. (Skinny hose from the top of it goes into the firewall) SUPERCHEAP couldn't find it in their database...so any help on the name of the thing would be very...

Vacuum Control Valve - Leaking - Advice appreciated

Hello, Just noticed my VACUUM CONTROL VALVE has a fairly fast leak (dripping). I'm not familiar with this device and a search didn't help much. Any advice on repair/replacement would be very much appreciated. Easy to repair or quick fix? How much to replace??? Thanks in advance.

I checked that purge hose as suggested. (TB ---> Black box behind the drivers side head - 2 hoses and electrical plug) It's connected and seems to be in pretty good condition. I didn't even know that fing was there...always good to learn about a new doodad...lolz. Thanks mate.

*** UPDATE *** Took the car to a mechanic...first thing he noticed was how tight the throttle cable was. He maintains the cable should be fairly loose and have a fair amount of play in it. vs v6 fuel issue

I thought, on a VS, the Oil Pressure Switch only comes into play once the engine is running??? In any case, as far as I know, Bridging the Relay takes the OPS out of the equation. EDIT: Actually, EPHECT may be right...it may depend on the model of the car. There's an interesting, albeit...

vr ute fuel pump not working ?

    vr fuel pump problem

Herein lies the problem...you can't test for power because it's only there for 2 secs...for the pump prime cycle - that's why you HAVE to bridge the relay.
