well it sounds like its got oil pressure and just a faulty lifter.... they where new lifters? i dont think it would have been neglected that much that the pick up is blocked, you shoul rip the pump off the vn at your place and see if that makes any diffeerrence to gauge

isnt it only 1 lifter that is noisy? he wont be happy with it sitting there......

i have for sale a brand new set of LT1 valve springs sbc 1.250 dia, i bought these to fit to a 308 as they are a good upgrade from standard, i also have to suit 308/253 crane cams valve locks 11/32 dia.... would like to get $80 for the lot plus postage, the springs alone are worth over 100...

but a 4l diesel turbo would not have the same air ratio as a petrol 4l

I'll contradict ya there lowvp petrol diesel turbos are the same...... if your thinking of mix and matching you would have to watch the air ratios the same you would with any turbo fitment...... there is a diffence between a 4l diesel and 4l petrol a diesel turbo would be suited to...
