Yeah I have youtubed the manta system, and I do agree quite raspy, doesn't have that deep throaty sound IMO. I live in country NSW, our roads are possibly the worst in NSW, Australia and possibly the southern hemisphere. My SS is running on SSSL, so I guess Difilippo would be out of the question...

The Remote will change over fron your standard key, but the key itself has a transponder chip inside it and will require programming into your car.

to have no radio or lights, id be going for main fuse or you havnt connected all leads to posivive terminal.

It'll be the air con drain tube blocked, very common in these hotter days. the drain tube is located above the gearbox on the passingers side, stick a peice if wire (with the end folded over, so you dont pock a holde in the drain tube) in the tube and all this crap and water will come out.

sounds stupid, but have you connected all terminals to the battery? i have struck this before, 1 little pissy arse wire falls down behind the battery, and then there is no power anywere. id be checking that first, follow all wiring to battery, also the main fuse, id check it too.

latley, i've found simular problems, and have worked out to be fuel pressure regulator, so that may be a chance as well. easy way to check, remove the vacumme line off regulator, and if its wet in there, its stuffed.
