Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

Sorry, haven't tried that yet. Car was at the mechanic's yesterday. I'll give it a go and get back to you. Did you just use some WD-40 on the rubber?

Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

So it seems after all that the candle wax didn't fix it. :(

Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

By "weather strip" do you mean the rain guard (like below)? Or do you mean the exterior window seal at the bottom of the window where it meets the door?

Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

Thanks for the help. I gave it a go and got one window fixed. I think the passenger side window needs a new window seal to also help fix it.

Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

Hey, thanks so much for the tip! I'll give it a go. Where exactly did you rub the wax? Just around the top of the window glass? And for the candle wax, did you just rub an ordinary candle against the glass?

Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

Yeah, I might try that. I just don't want it to ruin my window tinting though. Do you think it will? The other problem is, where do I spray the silicone spray? I don't know where the squeaking is coming from—even after putting my ear to all areas of the window whilst someone else played with...

Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

Also, if it helps, I have a 2003 VY Berlina. Windows are electric. Windows are tinted. Genuine Holden rain guard is fitted on both windows, too.

Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

This is the same issue as listed in Squeaky electric window, but I don't want to have to replace my windows to fix it!!! Surely there is an easier (and cheaper) way to fix this issue by lubricating something?

Front electric windows squeak at top when winding up

I've looked through countless threads on this forum for this issue and have not come across any solutions. Both of my front windows squeak/screech when going up and down at the very top of their wind sequence. They are electric windows. This is NOT the rattling issue others have...

Advice needed about building a sub box!

Awesome advice, thanks for the help! Yep, I'll take a look around and see what others say since 123 litres is a very large box.

Advice needed about building a sub box!

So do you think that size box is too big? The question still remains, does it matter where on the box that the sub is mounted? I'd still like to have it 90cm wide because it will fit nicely in my boot at that size. Can I put the sub in the middle of the long side and still get good sound quality?

Advice needed about building a sub box!

I am planning to build a sub box for my Alpine SWS-3049. The specifications sheet recommends the sub in a sealed box of 123 litres (yes, I know this is quite large). To my calculations (and to fit in my boot), the following dimensions work out at 123 litres: Height = 32cm Width = 90cm...
