Looking at buying a VZ HSV S2

Wow under $20k what a bargain! Maloos with low ks are still going for over $30k... Won't be realistically looking til around feb so hopefully with it being another 'year' older, prices might drop a little.

    car cameras

yeah that's a bit rough. i've been involved in five crashes now (i was a passenger for some, haha) and i wouldn't exactly say i'm "super cautious", but it definitely makes you more aware of other road users, you can't take anything for granted. some have said you can get cheaper insurance...

    Buying another VE...

it seems that way :( bummer. Sedans and Autos are so mainstream and boring, and the ute was cool but so damn annoying to park in the work car park, plus I kinda want the extra seats. i don't think i'll ever find another commodore as good as what that one was when i bought it anyway, might move...

    car cameras

just on this, if you run up the back of someone, in the eyes of the law and insurance, you are legally 'at fault'. in order to prove you weren't at fault, surely you would have to engage lawyers and such and sue the other party? also, how do these cameras perform at night?

All early model VE and WM owners

pretty much anytime I've had my car serviced anywhere I've always been told I need new wipers and new tyres. If you've got good tyres then it'll be your shocks or suspension or brake pads or your clutch, oldest trick in the book

P's Test At Campbeltown ? Anyone Done It ?

Not from Campbelltown but a trap for young players is the instructor will get you to change lanes while driving around a slight bend/curve in the road, make sure you look over your shoulder (blind spot) but also make sure you stay in your lane! if you cross the line with your head still turned...

Driving economically with a manual VE

high 14s seems very high... i would say anything over 12 is high. the quoted L/100 when the cars were released was 11.0L/100km (on mixed cycle) how many K's has your car done? could be time for a service/tune up if she's drinking too much

Driving economically with a manual VE

the best way to achieve better fuel economy is to just drive to the road conditions. put simply, this means the less start/stop driving you do, the less fuel you will use. keep a comfortable distance from the car ahead, pick your gaps early when negotiating traffic to avoid having to drop back...
