    hi guys im gonna sell my turbo manifolds from my ecotec and a mate who has got a VR with a Buick in it and expressed interest and when he asked if they would fit his heads I have no idea. Does anyone know if they will fit? Thanks

    Creating a custom intake manifold ecotec v6

    Has anyone had any luck with having a manifold fabed up? In my setup I was running 25psi but I've converted it to E85 and have decided to get bigger turbos and run more boost. I'm thinking the intake will be the restricting factor and am interested if anyone knew someone making manifolds

    i know they are currently in the process of re doing all the rules in nsw for engineering i would be speaking with the rta to get a list of authorised engineers and getting it done asap as the rules are meant to be getting alot stricter.

    Royal Purple engine Oil

    i use royal purple in my 6 and drop it after every few meets at the track... the v6 has a bigger than standard sump but oil is cheap compared to rebuilding a motor.

    nah you dont need to worry about pushing the pistons back.... sounds similar to what happened to my car and it was the rotors were stuffed beyond machining... rotors are pretty cheap and spending money on the braking system of a car is always good.

    i would go for a drive while its still wet then inspect as you will be able to see exactly where its hitting if it is.

    Ecotec oil consumption

    you should try to always fill the oil filter but if you dont run it for a little while to allow it to fill then top the oil back up... in saying that it does sound like its used more oil than just the oil filter filling up so i would keep an eye on it.

    Low mount twin turbo ???

    i can tell you from expirence the room around where the std exhaust is is really limited. you have to remember also that you will then need to run an exhaust off it which is limited due to the gearbox. i would recommend going a log style manifold gives you a bit more room and flexability.

    can i take the running gear bodykit and seats out of a ve gts and put it on my vt

    personally i would buy a ve and fit up everything to that as then all you are doing is changing stuff over rather than doing custom fabrication to make it to your vt clubbie. You can always then sell the clubby to make some of the money back.

    lol you should get easy 11's!! you will be suprised how much power these motors have with the extra capacity and two hair dryers hanging off it!
