Hi guys, Update. I replaced the CAS (ebay delphi at 35.00 delivered) and have driven about 3 times since fitting. Weather is cool but engine is getting quite warm. Starts take about 2-3 seconds so, it is way better than it was at 5-6 secs of cranking. Will post any further observations. Thanks...

Thanks fot those ideas. Battery is quite new. CAS is 2002 145000 Kays. Does a failing CAS slow the computer in getting the ignition to come on and eventually prevent it coming on at all? I must be having a great run out of my other VS because it has 245000 kays and starts fist turn every time...

Hi, Looking for comments please. Car has begun to take 4-5 seconds of cranking before it fires when hot. Cold it fires after several turns. Used to be instant. Wondered if heat soak could cause the air intake temp sensor to cause lean condition when hot? Other reason?? Regards, Al
