    Opinions of NSW filtering law?

A road user can only change lanes, open their door, alight from their vehicle etc etc when it's safe to do so. If a bike is filtering and a car hits them, the driver is at fault because they have changed lanes (even partially) when it hasn't been safe to do so or they have failed to give way...

    Opinions of NSW filtering law?

Have a read of this and let me know what you think. Motorcycle lane filtering to be legalised in NSW to reduce traffic congestion, says Roads Minister Duncan Gay - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) Here's the content of the link: Motorcycle lane filtering to be legalised...

Hey man, I saw that you had some seat covers from Proseat installed and that they send you the install instructions. I'm considering getting some Proseat covers but can't find out how they are attatched. I know they don't use straps and ties and I was hoping you may be able to email me the...

The OFFICIAL VE ALLOYTEC V6 SUPER MASSIVE FUN HAPPY TIME exhaust thread!!!!!!!11!!!!

I reckon you need headers to get any kind of decent sound out of an alloytech...almost every combination I've heard sound like crap without them.

    VE ESP issue.

UPDATE: After a wheel alignment, the ESP fault has vanished and hasn't come back for weeks. The front wheels were 24mm out of whack and the steering wheel wasn't lined up properly when the new tyres/wheels were fitted by the tyre place who fitted them...so that seems to have solved the problem.

The OFFICIAL VE ALLOYTEC V6 SUPER MASSIVE FUN HAPPY TIME exhaust thread!!!!!!!11!!!!

If you have headers they will be a different design and most likely, colour than the factory headers. You can get under the car and measure the width of your exhaust. Roll into an exhaust joint, get them to put it up on a hoist and they can tell you what's factory and what's not...they'll do it...

The OFFICIAL VE ALLOYTEC V6 SUPER MASSIVE FUN HAPPY TIME exhaust thread!!!!!!!11!!!!

Don't take this personally Atomic but to my ears that sounds rank. The mic on the camera breaking up doesn't help either. No doubt it sounds much better under driving conditions though, which is what really matters. You should maybe post an in-car clip or a drive-by clip if you have one. Like...

    VE ESP issue.

The service I had the other day came up with no faults on the tech2. But the car is lowered and on 20's...and it's been retuned so there're several potential reasons for the ESP fault to come up. Buggered if I know what it is and the mechanic hasn't got a code to clear so I don't know what the...

    Mono channel amplifier questions.

I agree with ^ I had my last install done at my local autobarn and they did a great job...$300 to install a pair of amps, all the wiring, an iPod adapter ect and tuned everything really well. I could have done it myself but to be honest I couldn't spare the time and really couldn't be bothered...

    VE ESP issue.

My 2010 VE does this as well...it's going in for a 45,000 service tomorrow so I'll see what they say. I'll get them to clear the code and hopefully it won't come back. On stinking hot days I sometimes have the aircon running pretty hard for a long time, the thermo fans would both be on for ages...

Ss inductions gauge binnacles warp in the heat. Avoid this product!!!

Wow. You're overthinking this I think Sherlock 'Don't call me Johnny' Holmes! I emailed them the other day actually. I don't necessarily maintain an iron clad chronology of my forum posts champ. ;) Why would I keep a reciept for an item I bought several months ago? I buy lots of stuff. I...

Ss inductions gauge binnacles warp in the heat. Avoid this product!!!

If that were true then all the plastic inside a car would warp and melt...which it obviously doesn't. The quality of ABS plastic SS Inductions uses in their gauge binnacles is inferior, otherwise it would stand up to normal summer heat like all the other plastic components inside the car. And...

DISCLAIMER: I know there are rules about not slagging of a company or product on this forum, but this isn't a whinge or slanderous mud slinging. Opinions of this rim/tyre package...$2300 20" Status Knights 5 with Falken tyres.

They are 8.5 inches all round. That way I can rotate and get plenty more life out of them. The rim is pretty flush with the tyre and doesn't stick out...although like most aftermarket wheels sloppy parking will end up in some serious gutter rash.

Do's and Don'ts when getting pulled over

Yeah, ummmm...righto. I was actually making a joke (of sorts) and was referring to when Superman flew around the Earth really fast to make time go backwards so Louis Lane wouldn't be crushed in her car after Lex Luthor fired a missile into the San Andreas fault and...oh forget it! Imagine a...

Do's and Don'ts when getting pulled over

Or maybe, "...I'm tryin' to make time go backwards with the power of VTEC. Y'know, like what Supra man did in that fillum?" Cops would beat someone silly if they tried that on I reckon!

Opinions of this rim/tyre package...$2300 20" Status Knights 5 with Falken tyres.

They're PT722...which retail for anything from about $450 to $220 apiece depending on where you buy 'em. Haven't got big brakes Dr HaxZaw, but the slotted and drilled rotors deserve some exposure I reckon. :) Have to paint the rotor guards in silver VHT now...they look all rusty and quite...

Do's and Don'ts when getting pulled over

I love how cops are required to ask if you, "have any reason for exceedig the posted speed limit"? I mean, there isn't an answer you can give where they'll say, "Actually mate...that's an excellent reason. Alrighty then, off you go." I've always wondered why they are required to ask at all.

These are going cheap atm and are being sold as a package with 4 average quality tyres (can't even remember the brand to be honest) fitted, balanced with lock nuts and one of those Bob Jane buckets with cleaning stuff in 'em a a promo-type thing...all for $1599. That's option one. Option...

Do's and Don'ts when getting pulled over

This may have been mentioned already, but simply ask them, "Am I under arrest or am I free to go?". They have to either arrest you or let you go, once they've finished searching the car they have no reason to keep wasting your time unless they arrest you. This work when you're a...

Anyone got a CPR6 manifold or cammed their SV6?

Sorry man, I should have paid more attention..:) cheers for clearing that up. MACE cams are around $1500 eh? Hmmm...how much to get them fitted would you reckon? That's a pretty reasonable price for a set of four lumpy cams. I wonder what the kw/hp increase at the wheels would be? A bloke called...

Anyone got a CPR6 manifold or cammed their SV6?

Are the CPR6 manifolds just for non-SIDI Alloytecs? Ahh bugger...that's not what I wanted to hear. I assume clearance is an issue? :( The MACE cams are $2500 you say? Sheesh that's pricey...although there are four, which would ramp up the cost considerably. Y'know, it's times like these...

Anyone got a CPR6 manifold or cammed their SV6?

I was wondering if anyone had fitted either a CPR6 manifold and/or cammed their SV6. I'm weighing up whether it's worth the expense and was hoping some SV6 owners who may have fitted either one or both and could share their opinions/thoughts. From the rough calculations I've done a CPR6...

    My Custom SSV Grille.....opinions??

Looks alright I reckon and good on you for doing it. Personally though, I reckon it lacks a definate edge around what remains of the original plastic and is 'all mesh'...if that makes sense. If I was to do it, I'd glue the mesh to the inside edge of the plastic. That way, the grill would still...

Here's how some headers, Growler CAI, mufflers, a big MAF pipe and a tune sound. Got bored today and thought I'd make a clip of how the car sounds from the inside. 2010 Black SV6 SIDI

The inner diameter of the pipe is 102mm and the outer diamer of the MAF is...well to be honest I'm not sure, but pretty close to 102mm. A ring clamp is all you need to get a tight seal. The Growlers do have an oiled filter, which reminds me I should wash it and oil it up.
