Ok done it all today..... Many friggen annoying trips to supercheap, repco and autobarn being Sunday even worse. First trip buy a 1 inch socket no 1 inch sockets so settled for a ring spanner get home under car and find out its not 1 inch its 25mm. Back to supercheap no 25mm sockets either so...

I think its running ngk 5 heat range at the moment would a 4 be ok to use... It fouls the 5s pretty badly.

cheers I just had a go at taking the filler plug off and of course I have misplaced my 1 inch socket.... Tried a shifter and I stripped its not to bad off to buy a bloody 1 inch socket tommorow. I can see both copper gaskets they look pretty thrashed so will try and get new ones I asked today...

Awesome you are an absolute life saver do you know if I can get a copper gasket to suit at supercheap or somewhere and what size etc? I'm assuming the fill plug is passenger side? Cheers for the info much appreciated

also whats better to use I think my sump plug was copper or bronze by the look but supercheap supplies an aluminium one? Ive never had any trouble with the copper brass one.

Got under the car a few day ago I can only see on plug on the box about modway have I got the model where you have to drain it somehow by pumping it out?

This could be a possibility the motor was setup for a blow thru turbo setup but all the turbo gear was pulled before I bought it. btw I know the oil wouldn't fix my compression issues.... I'm basically just planning on keeping it regoed until I can either afford a rebuild or replacement motor...

I'm suprised this one has lasted its behind a 308 that has an exedy brass button clutch so it grabs hard and has a 4.11 diff. Back in the day I just did the service exchange old box out new one in.

G'day My speedo has never really worked any good use to pretty much go to 60 and then that was it but now it is jammed at 70 doesnt even move with the car off. The kilometres and trip meter seem to work fine and accurate still. What could the issue be? Its plugged in at the back of the speedo.
