Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

Why would I know what they look like? It's not what I do for a living, I'm learning as I go, I don't know what the gearbox filler plug looks like, people call it a bolt, others call it a plug, I'd know how to fill it if I could get to it. Seriously it's retards like you who scare people away...

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

Ok well bled the clutch, had a bleeding tube lying around which was good, has a one way valve on one end, didn't take long to get air bubbles out but I kept draining it a bit because I had a better quality brake/clutch fluid that I was topping it up with. Now clutch feels better than ever ha ha...

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

Thanks for that, that's pretty much what I was going to do, Ohwell you live and learn I guess ha ha. Atleast now I know not to touch that again. Have to learn somehow. I couldn't find the filler bolt for the gear box wasn't sure what it looked like, whether it was a nipple or a bolt with a...

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

I don't let the clutch out lol if I am coming to my driveway I just put the clutch in and roll to it and put it in first once I have actually reached my driveway and doing about 2 ready to go up it. So I think you must be missing more than just something??

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

Where is the master cylinder ? Can't do it through the clutch fluid reservoir, need another nipple where you can put the fluid in and bleed the air through the other nipple once cracked. Or can I just do the easy way and depress clutch while opening slave and close it once fully depressed?

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

Ok well tried doing it but couldn't ha ha, got home put the car up on stands, don't know if I found the filler hole but I found a grease nipple with a rubber cap on it, but it's facing down, and once you crack it, oil started leaking out so I closed it. I need like a grease gun or something...

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

Alright grabbed a tube of that stuff, $11 for the 125ml tube. Pretty good price. Can I just try it without having to put in fresh transmission fluid? And the manual recommends Sae 75w-90 gl5, so now you know ha ha.

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

Oh yeah I know what you are talking about now. Not sure what causes it, it's to do with revs of engine. Nothing wrong with it, it happened to me once when I was in a parking low and revs were really low and I put clutch in to park.

Anybody have a problem with the orssom otr getting water in it and being sucked into engine? I have a Pontiac gxp front end on my car so the grill is alot more open, luckily the bonnet vents are for show, but still whenever I wash it there's drops of water around the otr. Anyone have this...

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

See if you can try and make it happen, the noise I get when turning water off too quickly is just a thump lol, so could be a different sound. Get a sound clip or something. Are you changing gears too early and stepping on the gas?

    Ve LSD Diff Information

You find first a bit too short? Only because I don't intend to rev it to 6500 everytime before I hit second lol. I go to around 3 or 4k and it's only doing about 25 or something like that so have to change to second, that's pretty much straight away after take off because it gets up there so...

    Ve LSD Diff Information

Is this for series 1 sidi aswell? I thought LSD was only standard on hsv models and optional if you wanted it on other models. I'll have a look at the number printed on it, anyway thanks for that info. Anyway that brings me back to what I should do then, because going higher is going to give...

The OFFICIAL VE ALLOYTEC V6 SUPER MASSIVE FUN HAPPY TIME exhaust thread!!!!!!!11!!!!

I do agree smaller has the best note, but is pretty quiet. What about chucking a merge in? X or h on the 2 1/4, or hotdogs on a 2.5?

    Ve LSD Diff Information

Yeah that's what I thought, I just was reading alot of posts and how people went to the higher diff and saying it was better but can't imagine how in a manual. Auto would be good with diff change. I guess I can go bigger wheels ha ha, travel further in one rotation of the tyre. Unless 3.7 diff...

Problems with the manual gearboxes in the VE Commodores

I think it's just the way it's made, Mine is like that, if your at the right speed it goes into second alot easier, same as when your changing back down. It's worse trying to stick it into first if your going too fast, like if it's a safety feature for people accidentally putting it into first...

The OFFICIAL VE ALLOYTEC V6 SUPER MASSIVE FUN HAPPY TIME exhaust thread!!!!!!!11!!!!

I know it will never sound like a v8 but with cats and headers install it sounds like one of those 2 door P plater cars with 50" bloody cannons ha ha.

The OFFICIAL VE ALLOYTEC V6 SUPER MASSIVE FUN HAPPY TIME exhaust thread!!!!!!!11!!!!

Anyone know how to deepen sound of exhaust? Probably most asked question ever ha ha. I have tried all 3 sizes in cat back, all connecting to 100cpsi hi flow cats and pacemaker ceramic headers on series 1 ve sv6 sidi sedan. 2 1/4 was too quiet and 2.5 and 3 were ok but very raspy note up high...

Ok sorry if this is somewhere else, I'm on my phone and the threads only go up to page 4. I'm looking into getting a LSD complete diff for my ve sv6 sedan 2010 manual. Just trying to find some info for it so I can decide if I want it, because the gear ratio for first gear is super high, I...
