    RFI - 2014 SV6 LFX V6 - Accelerator Pedal Position

Might be a bit late with this but there is now support for both the VE and VF commodore through the Australian reseller Revhigh

    Uneven Front Suspension

I thought spring rates are affected by height adjustments on the H&Rs because the body cannot be adjusted, only the collar on which the lower portion of the spring sits on.

    SV6 12mm Manifold insulator clearance

It will not fit, unless you modify the hooks for the engine cover. I personally don't like the engine cover.

    LFX manifold on an LLT

Imported from america, used a mail forwarding company to get it over from the U.S. The Vmax ported throttle body doesn't require a tune and the LFX manifold flows similarly to the LLT one; however, i'd say the torque has shifted left on a dyno plot.

    LFX manifold on an LLT

Hey guys, thought i'd share with you a little project i undertook. I've managed to buy myself a lower intake manifold piece from the U.S. allowing me to adapt the LLT intake runner heads with the rectangular ports of the LFX manifold. The composite manifold from the LFX is about 7kg lighter...

My Stanced Phantom Black SV6 - plenty of mods included

Okay, update time! I've managed to buy myself a lower intake manifold piece from the U.S. allowing me to adapt the LLT intake runner heads with the rectangular ports of the LFX manifold. The composite manifold from the LFX is about 7kg lighter, does not heat soak compared to the cast iron LLT...

    Really Weird Central Locking Problem

    Really Weird Central Locking Problem

Okay, today i was driving along at 80km/h and my doors locked without any input, weird. Later i was sitting in traffic and the car tried to lock the doors again, which were already locked. This happened about 6 times over the course of an hour and there's no one in the boot with my keys, i...

My Stanced Phantom Black SV6 - plenty of mods included

I believe the strut tops are more suited for for a track and less suited for street use. Sway bars are awesome, highly recommend them but hate how hard it is to keep the polyurethane from squeaking/creaking.

My Stanced Phantom Black SV6 - plenty of mods included

Yesterday I spent a the day under the car. - I've set my front sway bar to full soft and the rear to full hard - I put teflon tape on my sway bar d-link bushings and lubricated them with moly grease to help quieten them down again - Greased my rear calipers and added CRC anti-squeal on the...

    V SV6 Ticking Noise

You have an LLT engine, and that would be the HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) making that noise. It's perfectly normal and nothing to stress about.

    VE Track Car Adventures

Avoid the hollow bars, a big heavy car like the VE needs solid bars + in my experience, superpro bars tend to be noisy. I swapped mine for whiteline bars. In saying that though, every other bush has been super pro, by far the best quality bush compared to nolathane/whiteline/pedders. Tow bar...

    VE Track Car Adventures

YES! those are some awesome wheels! i love the G8 forums, they're so technically advanced on suspension/brakes it's awesome. What tire setup are you going to run with? i have 9.5" wide wheels all round and i want to run 275s front and rear when i'm due for tires, if you go down that route before...

    VE Track Car Adventures

I think you need to give the suspension a bit more attention, some vital bushings, sway bars and quality rear dampers to match the front DMS coilovers should bring the car a long way. Good choice on the wheels, a staggered set up will tend to under steer more frequently than a square setup...

    VE SSV H&R/Bilstein Suspension

Around $1600 for the bilstein shock with king springs Around $3000 for H&R coilovers with bilstein shocks, the advantage here is the height adjustment.

    Fixing Understeer

    - Tyres make a world of difference - Sway bars (generally hard front and soft rear, changes depending on your spring/shock/coilover set up) - Increase castor with offset washers by whiteline - Strut to chassis polyurethane inserts - Lower control arm polyurethane I've done all those mods and a...

    VE SSV H&R/Bilstein Suspension

mate, i have them in my sedan and could not agree more. I've tried a few set ups and the H&Rs have eclipsed them all. Overall, the car handles so much better you'd forget you're even driving a commodore (which is a very good thing IMHO). It's firm when it needs to be and soft when you're...

    Foglights on with button unlock

Annoyingly I have nothing even remotely close to an answer. A VZ Calais has this feature and would love if my VE behaved the same way.

    Foglights on with button unlock

My particular set up has a very low brightness, similar to parkers. Could be worse, HIDs in reflectors would take the cake.

Mods to increase power for series 2 SV6

Mace insulators work really well for little money, so perhaps start there. If you're willing to spend a bit of money, go high flow cats, a CAI and tune. Going up in diff ratio will also make a big difference.

My Stanced Phantom Black SV6 - plenty of mods included

Thanks guys! appreciate the positive feedback I definitely recommend more people have a go at DIY there's so much information at your disposal with the internet nowadays. That was my main focus throughout the build, i'm quite content with it now; however, pushing 275/35r19 all round will be...

Steering twitchy when cornering at speed

Few things you can do. - High quality shocks with better dampening, compression and rebound will help a lot! - A rear toe lock kit will greatly reduce bump steer - Tyres are incredibly important in maintaining traction, that should be a given, and low profile tyres do not...

    IPF Supercharger kit

It's an extremely reliable kit, it makes very good power and it's in the top 2 options for kitted FI on an LLT/LFX. There's plenty of information on camaro5, a great forum at that where you won't hear the same regurgitated rubbish.

    IPF Supercharger kit

FFS. Nice response you prehistoric moron. To answer OPs question, IPF do in fact sell the kit to fit commodores with little modifications. A guy over in WA recently did it. Make yourself over 300rwkw, retain good fuel economy and have something that's unique.

Thud under hard braking with Brembos

I swapped the crossover, used the correct 355mm rotor, did not cut the pad, used GM bolts suited for brembos and even used HSV rear dust shields :) Will not rule that out, it pulls up so well it's addictive. Everything should be sweet, the car is on 70,000kms and all of my front bushes have...

i had a look and there doesn't seem to be anything, one wire is earthed and the other goes into the back of the battery fuse box. Any idea how to pull it out to check behind it?
