SSV Wagon
Hey guys,
I had a VE calais before recently buying an ssv wagon.
And there is a few features I'm already missing from the calais a bit.
One definitely being the automatic windows when going up.
They are auto down. But have to hold them the whole time to bring it back up.

Was just curious to know how hard it is to change? And if so, is it just changing a plug or something?

Cheers

I have a ssv sedan (2010 s1) and the windows go up and down automatically, with a quick flick of the switch. Should work on yours, surely.

More importantly, what 'my' year is your ssv? The auto up didnt come out untill the my10 models I belive.
My my9.5 doesnt have it, a mates my10 (both 2009 model cars) has the auto up.

It's a 2008, I think it's an my8.5

My 06 calais had it, but I think that's because it was the calais and had all those extras on it.

Its a fair bit of work to retrofit (I think, not 100% sure as I am going from some vague memory here)

The auto up function is on the winder mechanism itself, which means replacing the winder mechanism for both front doors.
I think the switch mechanism is the same (Again not 100% sure)

I hope this helps ?

VE SV6 Thunder Ute
I have a SV6 SII Thunder Ute and have changed my switches to SI switches so I could have the lights in red. In doing so i have lost the auto up function.

Just an FYI

Does that mean its just controlled by the switch? So fitting a series 2 switch to a series 1 might give you auto up?

Not sure, after I installed it I was confused if I either lost the function or if I even had it at all.
