here is my near completed shifter conversion, all i need is the leather boot then i am done

as you all can see i did a very rough job as this just a trail, you can place in the orignal position but you will need a sheet of metal to cover the hole and move it more to the side and it should look like this.

on the outside both the vs and vn have both got the same style shifter, but yes you will need to replace the inside with the complet vt shifter, i.e handle, gear selection box and i think you may need a longer rod to connect it from lever to the transmission.

p.s as you can see my vs the shifter sits in the middle because this was just a test but when i get around to it i'll be moveing it across in the factory position like the vn has

LOL, got enuff gauges on there wot are they boost guages hooked up to your manafold pressure

,

but in regard to the vr/vs shifter upgrade to vt nice job but cant see why the vs one wasn't sufficiant you should of just changed it out to a vt 6spd on the floor

the first pic you see is my vs statesman and the second is from another forum, and he was the one that gave me the the idea.

the reason i change it was that i like the look and it feels better when changing gears :drink:

i'm sorry but thats the only picture that i got, but for the linkage it pretty much just a straight swap but you may need a longer link, as my doesn't reach 1st but i'm getting it fix soon
