I’m stuck between two subwoofers to buy for my partners vn - the pioneer TS-WX1210A (12”) or the Kicker 44KKP210 Sub and Amp Combo (10”) i’m assuming the pioneer is better value because it is 12” and cheaper than the kicker one ?

I’m buying my boyfriend a subwoofer for his vn but have no idea about subwoofers lol. My budget is $400, what would be the best one to buy? and do I need to buy anything else along with it or just the sub? Thanks! I want one that just makes the overall sound quality better not one that’ll just...
