01 VU Ute Surging/Splattering HELP

Hey all,

I have owed my Ute for 3 years now and in the past 4 months it has started coughing/splattering/surging. It seems to happen mostly between low revs at about 3000rpm. after the first couple weeks i started changing things here and there to fix the problem;

Items changed;
-oil
-oil filter
-plugs
-leads
-fuel filter
-air filter
-coil packs

I have been trying to avoid putting my money into more expensive items due to im not 100% sure which one of them the problem could be coming from eg; fuel pump/injectors.
The ute is a V6 manual, and has done 250,000kms. would love some other peoples opinion on what they think it is before i start forking out more money, cheers UncleDavo....

Loose or leaking rubber hose in engine bay somewhere?
Check the one that connects under the throttle body.

I'd be thinking along the line' of fuel pump, These can be sign's of a bad fuel pump.

Have you tried some GQ injector cleaner?

Could even look at getting the fuel system pressure checked, Just to rule it out.
