Hi everyone,

I've purchased myself a cheap little OBD2 reader thing off eBay and downloaded the 'Torque' app for my Samsung to check/clear codes and monitor stuff with the car ('04 VZ SV6).

Does anyone have any idea how to get oil pressure and auto trans. temps to show up on the 'dashboard' of the app?
I've got all the other relatively important/interesting parameters but it says that there are no values for the parameters or something. Is this just because it is a cheap OBD reader and the GM language is too complex for it to read these values?

Thanks,
Dechlan.

Hey mate, I couldn't get torque 100% working well with the Vz either. I found this one " Car scanner" that works quite well with my cheap bt scanner. Give it a go, the free version is very good and does everything

I think you mean buy the 'pro' version. Which yes, I did buy it as it was only like 5 bucks - but it still isn't showing exactly all of the parameters/values that I'd like it to. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You'll need to download the extra GM 'PIDS' as well.

Do you happen to know where to get these? A link or a search term would be awesome (like, are they the same for all GM vehicles, or are the different for VZ's?)

Cheers

You should be able to download them from a link in the app.
GM PIDS will cover everything GM.
