06 ve commodore auto compatibility

First time posting
I have a 06 VE OMEGA with 4speed automatic box 5HSD
I’m wondering if any other code auto can be used to replace my one ?
Been told I can use any ve 4 speed auto as long as I use my original TCM , is this correct please?

The best advice is usually to find one with the same code as your old box. Are they hard to find?

A wrecker is you best option, ring around,
I see your in Mildura,
Some wreckers will organise shipping,
Otherwise, try and locate one, and may need to do a road trip.,
Your only got 2 options really,
Melbourne or Adelaide .
For Melbourne
Maybe try Jollys, jump on there website, key in your make, model & Year, and see if they have a vehicle in question, and you can check the price of the item.
They do remove parts which would save messing around
