ask your supplier about a tyre called JINYU . great deep tread, soft quiet ride.

Also Michelin XM1's are a good tyre. ive had 2 sets and got atleast 70 thou k's from both sets

stick to the size 205/65/15

No no, Jinyu were the worst i have ever had and most nights im up out n about in the hills, im running Newton NT5000 235/45/18 on my VT best tyres iv had, and yes i no u only have 15s so im not sure if they make them for the size u want... but can always sus them out

EDIT 235/40*/18

225/60/15 highway max, got them from the wheel deal $60 each.

Best tyres I have ever had in 15 years. Grip like anything in wet and dry.

VY Series 2 25th Anniversary in Phantom Mica
I had Yokohama C drives in a 215/60R15 on a VN and they wore well and had fantastic grip in the wet and dry. The wet grip was good even when they were almost dsown to the wear markers.

Other than that have a look at Hankooks they make a good tyre and are well priced. I have a set on my VY now and they balance well and are quiet, a big improvement over the Bridgestone ER30's it had which would never balance properly and were noisy.

205/60/15 is ok. Start going into 215 and 225 and your wasting your money.

I think with a 15" rim a 205 tyre needs to be 65 series.

Your car's ride and handling would be designed and engineered around 205/65s. I'd keep that size. I have all-rounders on the VB, they are fine. To maintain originality, the actual tyres holden used were bridgestone re92s.
