I could get a slant 6 for about $3.50. The car originally had a 240 slant six I think? Badge on the back says 160hp. which is probably more then a Buick powered VN and it would weigh allot less too!

Close. The slant 6 was 225 ci. The Hemi came in 215, 245 and 265 displacements.

265 hemi is a great little donk and yeah you can probably get a better donk than a 318, but there is something about the rumble of that 318. just sexy.

also: +1 to white with red stripes, but also the orange colour with the black pacer stripe looks good too. but yeah colour is a personal choice really.

also also: i would never do a black interior. but thats just me. on 30+ degree days i like being able to sit in my car with shorts on without taking all the skin off my legs.

My mate just had his resprayed in a creamy white. looks insane. dropped on black rims and whitewalls

Yeah that looks epic.
One thing I reall wanna do though is keep the original wheel trims and centre caps. They look amazing for a standard wheel.

That VE is mint, does it still have the slant motor in it?
