i have done fk all to the VB, i have been working on the cruiser and dont have the time or space for the commodore. But I have just started renting a shed for the commodore so i can rebuild it in, i hope to move the commodore there soon. i have a mate that said he knows someone with a good vh shell so im going to take a look at it tomorrow to see if it has any rust and how much he want for it, then i can swap everything over and put the v8 in it then i dont have to worry about fking around with rust

Mate I think that is the best suggestion yet. You will be for ever chasing rust in that VB.

i have taken a look at that VH and it seams to be good, fk all rust besides in the spare wheel well and i cant find anything in the door sills, boot sill or around the windscrean.
i thought it was just a rolling shell but it has a 253 and trimatic in it not bad for $500, need to find a way to drag it to my shed

VH SS
the body on the VH appears to be fairly good (apart from the front where it hit the trailer!)
Get some paint on it and it should look good
the engine note, will generally come down to the exhaust, so it shouldn't really change much when you swap the 304 into it.

got a lot of work ahead, so it's probably a low priority, but make sure you replace those strut tops/bearing plates. They rubbers looks like they are about to pop
all the best with it!

my mate welded in the front from the vb to the vh and im currently welding some rust in the boot, once i sell the motor and tranny out of this then ill clean the engine bay and shove the 304 in there, im not sure if i should go carbie or not, with carby there will be less fking around but the manifolds are bloody expensive, but for an efi set up i need a loom and i gotta fk around with wires, and god i hate wring.
