bingo ;)

The calipers should clean up alright, the rotors will get a wire buff and some black ceramic paint.
I'll probably clean the wheel wells and chuck on some stone guard stuff too.

front brakes got done, new wheel bearings and should be seeing some colour next week.
I wanted to spray it in the drive but my mates doing it for some beers. Saves me cursing and swearing in the drive
and getting **** in the paint.

I took it to a mechanic to get the bearings done as i couldnt be stuffed. They did new cv boots and brake boots
and a few other bits and pieces and it drives great again.

Just got a photo of the brakes for now.

The cars still in the panel shop, might go have a look tomorrow and see whats going on.
I know he's got the apprentice working on it, hopefully it doesnt end in a huge bill. lol.
trying to sell another one of my bikes to make ends meet.

I might be giving cars and bikes a rest for a bit and try make some furniture or do something different.
The gumtree idiots are doing my head in. That scooter i did that a few of you saw eventually sold for
only 500 bucks. the market isnt good and people are broke. It was easily worth double that.

I've actually taken a lot of car parts to a scrap metal place instead of trying to flog them online.

The corolla's still going ahead, just might have to slow it down a bit due to funds.
I should have an update tomorrow.

It's weird on how 2nd hand bikes can be picked up cheaply with not many kms on them. It would have been far easier to do up a ute & sell it.

I thought about it. There was a storm vu ute for about 3k with shitty paint and bad brakes.
I thought about getting it,doing it up and flogging it, but if it doesnt sell youve got another
car sitting around taking up space and costing a bucket load in regos.

The rego prices have really killed it.

Problem is,as we all know with cars if if some of it's been neglected, the whole thing has probably been neglected.
Once you start fixing bad oil leaks, suspension bushes, wheel bearings, brakes not to mention if a drivetrain part
or the motor itself is playing up it doesnt take long for repair bills to get into the thousands.

Even if you do a lot of it yourself. It's easy to take any profit out of it and actually end up costing money.

Long time between updates. looks like the whole cars getting a lick of paint
from a good friend of mine.

I rubbed the wheels back and chose the h114 tungsten from the vt
for the colour. I sprayed a few parts for my mate in that colour and loved it.

Slowly progressing as money allows. The rims in the pics have just had base coat.
i was going to go normal clear but decided on a satin finish when i saw the base
laid down. Big props to my friend who has done an awesome job.
i'll get pics when he lays the satin on them.

got a photo after the wheels where sanded, then after base. Hand sanding between the spokes
wasnt the most fun thing ive done. the corolla is getting prepped for paint.going in tomorrow to help
sand her back.

Cheers.
