Paid $3k in 2005 - 112000km 1 owner.
Odometer failed at 126000. Done about 200.

Current faults
Cracked windscreen $275
Needs rear muffler assy & rubbers $300?

It goes anywhere @110km/h with freezing aircon blowing while it's 40C outside and fully laden.
It tows anything. It carries anything. It is economical.
It accelerates, handles & stops like a racing car.
It never fails to start and it never stops till I turn the key off.

Whatever I do to it I can't kill it. It loves it.
It won't die.
I love it.

This ####ing car is still going! I swear I'm the last bastard standing in the VN/VP forum.

Since I last posted in this thread the old bitch has had:

Yet another crappy chinese radiator, 3rd one.

Fuel sys overhaul, pump, regulator, all new hoses to the tank, return hose in the tank.
Air con re-gas, ####ing thing leaked out after 22 years.
I finally fixed the odometer!

Faults:
The fuel sender arm is jammed on full since I changed the pump, lol. Who cares getting 8-12 just guess.
New front rotors & pads go in tomorrow.
Power steering pump leaks like every other one I've ever seen. I'll get to it when I can be bothered.

It towed a 3 ton trailer up Kalamunda hill & all the way to Cuballing. 80km/h uphill with trailer.

I thought for sure that would kill it once & for all but it just plowed on like always, didn't even get hot.
I do the country trip in it every other week & get 8L/100. Factory figures after 22 years!

It's the go to car in the family... I got a 2002 CV8 & 2002 Astra but the wagon is the all rounder & we treat it like a door mat because it's basically worthless. Load it up, fill it up & go.

It just won't ####ing die.

Never. Then I'd have to replace it with a less reliable car.
