It's a pity that it doesn't have the original motor as that will affect the value of the car. Even more so if it has a 304 cu in motor.

I can't comment directly on the performance of the HSV 215kw models. However, I had an HSV enhanced VS Calais 185kw and still have my wife's VS Clubsport 185kw. The VS Calais was later stroked to 355cc capacity (compared to the 215kw's 350cc) and produced a little over the 215kw. It should be immediately obvious if you have a 185kw engine or a 215kw engine. The 185's perform well, especially if you stall the trans a bit before accelerate from a standing start. However, the 215's fly, and with their increased torque, they go up the steepest hills without having to change out of 4th gear (auto).
