1995 VS STATESMAN RADIO WONT TURN ON!

Hi Guys,

Ive just recently bought a 1995 statesman to fix up. I’ve had the battery disconnected a few times, decided the other day to enter the code… I stuffed up and misentered it 3 times showing the 4x _ symbol on the screen.

Couldn’t get that to go away so I disconnected the battery to try reset the process. Since then the stereo won’t power on… it lights up and the red security light flashes so I know it’s getting power. Any help to get it to turn on again so I can enter the correct code?!

Try the attached. I presume you haven't had the ignition key on the accessory position?

Thanks mate. I’ll give the 1 hour thing a whirl tomorrow. I plan on taking it for a drive so I’ll keep it powered on for 1 hour and hopefully that sorts it
