Heya guys, I got a friend who is interested in this 1996 VS Calais. Its done about 200,000k's. Has Leather trim, sunroof, everything power (power windows etc) and is an automatic. The owner is asking for $8,000 ono. I seem to think it sounds like an ok price - if only the k's werent so high. Do you guys think it is a good buy? -crofty
Yep sounds like a decent price, probably worth about 9-10 normally, maybe a grand more at a dealership. Guessing its a V6, if it's a Series 2 its worth even more.
my friend bought a VR Calais with leather last year had 180+ k's & she paid $10K from a dealer. So a VS Calais with leather for $8 I say yeah thats okay price. Little **** mate of my cousin just scored a VR Calais with leather for $3,500 !! but it does have 300,000k's D.

Yea, sound good, I sold my ser2 VS calais last year, had leather, all the bells and whistles, as well a a pioneer CD, changer, sub etc and only got $11 500, oh and it had 160k on the clock.
hey buddy, I have got a 96 Calais, leather trim and power everything as well with 130,000 k's on the clock. I got it for only $3300 from a dealer. i was gonna buy one for your price but just kept looking till i found one for the right price. It is possible if you look enough and get a little lucky.

I can get a mint silver vr calais lowered new springs mint leather awesome paint 18s runs drive 1 week rego looks better then the one in the pic.. for $1000ono and i don't want it.!
