Howdy all, just a quick question...How much do you all think i could get for my VS? It's a Series 2, 1996 Exec (Just about execs of all execs!!!). Auto trans, ecotec with 218,000kms on clock, no abs, no irs, no cruise. Run on premium for most of its life. Has been in the family since 50,000kms. Has been treated like a queen for most of its life but has the normal wear of a family car. Seat covers have been on ALWAYS!!! Never had any major repairs done.

Mods include: Professional lowering on king springs (superlows in front and ultras in rear to level things out) and monroe gt gas shocks all round, SS Inductions CAI, 2.5'' Redback exhaust from catback (including rear resi so no drone), TopGun 8mm leads, 17'' WK Caprice rims.

The bad: Reading directly from the previous service report done less than a 1000kms ago. Engine mounts could do with replacing soon, powersteering pump on the way out, small leak from the rocker cover.

Other things that i could suggest to be replaced soonish are Injectors. Was getting really bad fuel economy at 15.5L per 100kms but after a simple dose of Injector cleaner in the tank, next tank was 14.2L per 100kms (Thus the reason for cleaning/replacement of injectors in my opinion).

Paint is still good, but if really picky a respray could be done (but not necessary at all!!!)

How much could i be looking at getting if i had fixed the things mentioned (apart from respray)? Any input or general comments on my car would be awesome :)

Thanks all, Boojakz

looks pretty good dude (wish my sedan was that neat), it depends on what your thinking of upgrading to, if your after a vt/vx keep in mind your only getting it for the looks/comfort the power of the v6 is terrible reason why i downgraded from my vt to a vs ute your car id say in perths market could fetch about $5500 - $6000 mainly because of the condition but what hurts the sale is the km's is starting to get on the high side as for the problems i wouldent bother getting them fixed, the rocker cover leak is very minor and you wont get your moneys worth if you fix whatever else on it your looking at like $3000 for a decent respray if not more.

i did a lot of shopping around when i was looking for my vs's the sedan i purchased last september with 159000 stock as a rock one owner full log books but the tyres were bald and the breaks were shot interior was immaculate exterior has is fair share of dings and scratches for $5500.

my ute done 3 months ago one owner stock as a rock rocker covers were leaking like there was no tomorrow, radiator needed a real decent flush and a good solid all round service 93000km full logs immac exterior, dented/scratched tray (now partially resprayed, rust proofed and a hard liner in) and acceptable interior just needed a good clean for $8000

i did come across a really good vs while i was searching it was a 96 acclaim with 42000kms they wanted $9000 firm i probably would of bought it if it had full electrics but when your looking at $9000 you can get calais for that sorta price ok but anyway yeah im blabbing on

I was going to stick to a VS just a 5.0L lol. I've actually got my eyes on a VS Berlina 5.0L with 100,000 genuine kms on the clock and it is MINT! Sooooo this is half an advertisement yet half an expression of interest as to how much i'd be able to get for my good old girl. More feedback would be good.

(STILL UNDECIDED AS WHAT TO DO! DEPENDS ON FINANCIALS AND HOW MUCH I'LL GET FOR MY CAR)

Thanks all,
Boojakz
