Hi All, Yesterday my old but reliable VS hit some bumps going over a railway line and the engine juswt stopped. I coasted away from the crossing. once stopped . i put it into Park and tried to start the car. I hear the pump and check some things in case a cable has fallen off. I go towed back home. Today i changed the coil pack and still no luck. its the only car we have.
Any ideas for me to look for. Thanks

Might be the DFI or crank sensor both those will leave you stranded.

Scan codes before replacing any parts.

Hey Guys, Thanks for your help. I Tried a couple of Local Auto elecs they either haven't returned my call or unable to help. I was told to get someone out would be few hundred dollars just to check. Anyway i found a crank angle sensor for the car and replaced it. It still wont start. I am trying to get a OBD1 cable for future.

Do what Wozza suggested using a paperclip. You need a ALDL otherwise and it will set you back $130 with software.

Might be a blocked filter. Also try tapping the tank with a broom handle while cranking.
