Hey I was just wondering if anyone could help me out.
Was on my way home lastnight when I stopped to go toilet turned the car off come back and it wouldn't start.
All the lights come on dash as normal until you try turn key on and nothing happens at all. One thing I did find weird is that when I try turn it over the light above the mode button keeps flashing. Would anyone have any ideas on how I could get her home?

Sounds like the immobiliser hasn't disabled.

You can try clicking the lock and unlock while sitting in the car and then try starting it again

Thanks for the comment. I've tried this and it still doesn't seem to be working. I even went and got a 1 piece key reader ring but was doing the same as my 2 piece.

I'm still having the same problem. I put the key in ignition it disables the immobiliser bit when I try turn the key to start car the light flashes

Light flashing indicates the immobilizer is still active IIRC.

There is a steel strip around the ignition key barrel, clean this and clean the little steel knob on the key head that contacts that ring (it's for the immobilizer circuit). Then see what it does.

Thanks for this bro I'll give it a go and see what happens.
Would you be able to tell le the best way possible to clean them? And just clarifying it's the steel bit around ignition and knob that comes out of key?

To clean it, (the slip ring) it should be removed from the around the key barrel.

Use some CO contact cleaner in the bit between the two parts.

A bit of scotchbrite or 0000 steel wool to clean the pin on the key head.

Yes the car key I have does. I don't have spear key. But sometimes only unlocks drivers door
