1998 Series 3 VS

Hi all!

I’m having a bit of trouble with my 5ltr and removing the power steering belt. I can’t seem to get enough movement out of it to even get the belt off. Not sure if I’m missing something but any advice for help would be muchly appreciated

You need to loosen three bolts. Check out the diagram below:

I hated replacing power steering belts on my VS, i ended up getting a VT 5lt pump bracket which is very similar, but it runs a tensioner pulley

it needs to be modified slightly as when fitted with a VS pump, the tensioner pulley has a different offset and is about 5-6mm out of alignment, all i did to correct this was cut the welds holding the tensioner part itself on cut it down, and welded it back on
