I agree about most 90's commo wheels.
I'm running VR Senator rims restored. I think they look okay and fit the style all good.
Yeah yours look good (except the new artwork you added to one of them)

I think your rims suit your beast really well @whiskeytango
Yeah cheers mate and don't get me wrong I really like mine. I mean in a couple of years if I get sick of the look I might change them but for now it's staying as is.

2000 Vs Ute
The alloys you have look good on them and dont look out of place when "stockish" sized with a bit of sidewall to them.
Same with being around that era correct, its from a similar time so it just looks right.
Just simple and clean.
Its nice.

So I got the gears today. I have a feeling ebay sent the wrong ones. Anyone good with the serials?

I could be wrong but shouldn't the box say M75? Or does yours being a V8 have an M78 gear set?

3,70 m75 gears are NLA.

Apparently m78 have larger 22mm pinion nut & head of pinion may needs machining to clear lsd...whether that is just for aftermarket lsd or factory lsd don't know as never got looked into it enough as m78 supposedly meant for larger diff housings

Apparently only for trutrac style centres?

100% pinion needs clearancing with trutrac, torquelock even with shorter m75 gears.

Never done M78 gears with factory lsd as diff bloke didn't seem keen on them plus meant for larger irs casing...seems like more labour checking etc to fit properly into m75 housing.

Guess that is partly why I haven't done my ute diff yet lol

Yeah I was under the impression they had 75 gears in a 78 but had also heard they can make them fit. I'll make some calls and see if some diff joints know if it's possible before I return them.
Might just have to cop the labor if it's possible as there aren't many other options these days.
