    True.
And by the way I love your car, looks great. Pitty to hear she's not well though. Maybe time for an upgrade?

Yeah, I think it is time for an upgrade! I'm still not too sure what I'm going to do just yet, maybe just by some little cheap shitter to get me around for the time being, so I can save and get myself something that I really want...

Maybe some sort of Calais.....Dunno yet.

Dont give up on the old girl...

Electrics and buttons can be added later on, and whats a head gonna be worth from pick a part or a similar wrecker!

You have done so much of the work yaself, so dont give up this early!

I say get her goin again and save for something REALLY nice later on...

    Hey YSOBLU,

You really had me encouraged then! Honestly! But then I though about 'Ruby'...

She's a 1991 VN Exec, with low k's, full service history, and she's in really good condition bodywise, and she's been offered to me for $2,000, and I can pay her off over as long as I need.

But I am really attached to mine, I think that's why I haven't got round to adverstising her for sale, coz I don't think i could bear to see her go!!

hrmm sounds like an attractive offer... but

Fix that motor, full calais electrics, lowered and wheels easy if your a smart shopper :)

Your choice, but dont give up on old faithful...

Ohhhhh......you've got me thinking now.....But the other thing is, I can really only afford 'Ruby' coz what ever i sell mine for would pay off a nice chunk of the price. (hopefully)

    WIN!

    lol

Dont waste money on new stock heads, and headwork is probably outta ya budget.. just head down to pick a part or a wrecker and pick a set up... couple hundred at the most... cant be much considering you can buy a whole motor for $500 easily....

if your getting piston rings done the block will have to come out, this is where is becomes very labour intensive and will increase costs ridicously! does she really need it done?

    Any more q's?

Umm....I dunno if it needs the rings done for sure or not. Maybe I'd be better off getting another series II motor?! It won't even start at the moment, so it's hard to pin point exactly what needs to be fixed.

spend your cash on fixing up your VN as it's a damn fine car even if she ain't running at the moment.
