Are there gains to be had with a 'simple tune". Not going as far as doing the bolt on thing...

Just for a moderate power increase

Likely would be, but IMHO opinion it would be kinda pointless to not remove some of the factory restrictions before you do it.

The biggest problem would be finding a tuner that supports the 2.0 ZB ECU, seems RevHigh and VCM are looking into it. Seems to be a couple of places offering it for the 3.6.

I'd suggest a bit of caution here though given:
- Its already making 95 kw/l which is a lot more than for example an XR6 Turbo that make about 70 kw/litre
- Its likely still under warranty so you'd be trading extra grunt for less warranty
- You'd want to see a documented quarter mile difference rather than a dyno difference to be sure it works, eg. Street Quick in WA used to tune VF V8s and provide quarter mile time slips to back up their claims for their tune/mod packages where most others didn't. and generally only claimed half as much extra power as the others...
