The US reviews on the Chevy SS have all basically said the same thing. The SS was too plain/euro looking compared to the muscle cars the yanks are used to and love like mustangs, camaros and chargers etc. They like that old school look. The SS looks like a Malibu to them.
Plus they were priced in the vicinity of the cars the yanks already liked so why buy an unknown car was the attitude

I went in for another look last week when walking past and was there for about 5 mins looking at a few ZBs. No salesman approached me.

Oh, and they still look terrible, so my second look at them was no better than the first

Much like when the VF series 1 came out, Holden was flogging them off cheaper than the series 2 VE's to try and stimulate interest.

That was a drop in RRP. This is a discount off the RRP. Subtle but important difference. Somehow GM thinks they will get more money for the Opels. Looking at March sales, I think that idea just went out the window.

LOL, the marketing genius at Holden is dreaming.
What can they offer you with their current range.

Holden needs to be sending out those offers to the Astra and Cruze owners before they upgrade to a Mazda or Toyota

Rumour is they have near 6 months un-sold stock either sitting in their yards or on the water which is a complete and utter disaster compared to the 4 - 6 weeks they normally have. I hope they are paying well for the new marketing boss coz I don't see anybody wanting that poison chalice!
