2000 VT Calais, when i got it it was very dirty, needed bushes

had grey interior (now changed to beige and woodgrain) aftermarket alpine stereo, change seats due to airbag fault

had - has genuine Monaro headlights and VX Calais rear garnish and lights, had SS silver claster, sunroof car, has a VY think steering wheel here's a few pics of it went bought

first thing changed when I got it was the interior to beige, also to fix airbag light

next to do was brakes with DBA street series X-Gold Brake Rotors and suspension bushes that needed really badly

bought a NOS monaro bonnet still in box, and a VH woodgrain steering wheel for it but haven't put them on yet

I've bought and colour matched engine covers, I've painted them to the body colour myself with spray cans

installed original radio and WH dash facia, painted the part of the facia around the cluster the same colour as the spokes of the VY steering wheel

Today 09/11/21 I had my mechanic install a DuSpeed Driving Performance OTR, still at the shop as he needs to take it to a dyno guy for a tune for the stage one tune for the mafless OTR

can not wait to get it back

Ok, the mechanic just texted me, saying he got about 30 Kw more out of the engine with this OTR and a stage one tune,

was 170kw to start with added 30kws on top of that, (didn’t the firsts LS1’s have 220kw) that’s the SS VT specs, not sure if the Calais had the same or not,

guess it’s not bad, for the original engine to the car with close to 400,000 km on it
