Ok, the mechanic just texted me, saying he got about 30 Kw more out of the engine with this OTR and a stage one tune, was 170kw to start with added 30kws on top of that, didn’t the firsts LS1’s have 220kw (that’s the SS VT
picture not the final runView attachment 229444specs, not sure if the Calais had the same or not,

guess it’s not bad, for the original engine to the car with close to 400,000 km on it

Factory rated power is at the flywheel.

Dyno results are at the rear wheels.

Power is lost through the drivetrain....to what extent, well depends who you ask.....rule of thumb, especially with auto, is around 30% loss so 70% of 220 fw kws = 154 rw kws.

Yes 220 KW crank I believe was the first SSs =VTs .VXs were ,225kWs , according to, manual= CV8=VX /SS started at 225 kw = now= mine = 314RWKW=;)

so it’s not actually bad at all for one with around 400,000 km on it, they lose power over time with wear and tear don’t they?

ok got the girl back, the mechanic said he put a VX Clubsport tune on it and tune it up from there, 204 kw at the wheels which is about 260kw at the flywheel, which I'm pretty happy with
